Music
ministry is a ministry of encouragement. As well as the songs
that we sing, we also will occasionally write devotions as
the Lord inspires us. We are pleased to be able to present
these devotions to you and we pray you will find them a great
source of encouragement.
Offending God
by Mary Copas
Proverbs 20:24 says, "Mans goings are of the Lord, how
can a man then understand his own way?"
When our son Alex was little, I used to ask him to jump and
I would catch him. He would look at the ground and look at
me and then jump. He never once asked me: How are you going
to catch me? When you do catch me which arm are you going
to catch me with? How soon after I jump are you going to catch
me?
If he did I would have been offended and maybe even had my
feelings hurt that he didn't have enough faith and trust in
me as his mother to assure him of his safety.
Don't you think it is time we stop offending God, by not
having enough Faith and Trust in Him as our Father to lead
and guide us. It isn't always for us to understand, where
or even why God is leading us a certian way. It should be
enough to know that He is leading us.
